Media Relations Training with Joe LaBarbera
On September 17th, the WI Fire Service Administrative Association (WFSAA) is hosting a media relations seminar in De Pere with award-winning Media Trainer Joe LaBarbera, of LaBarbera Media Group (LMG). The material that Joe will be presenting will be geared toward fire department personnel acting in an administrative role who are likely to be a first point of contact for local and regional media organizations prior to the Chief scheduling a press conference.
This seminar will give you tools and tips to "confidently handle the media, whether they just showed up or you called them to help share information with the public." Learn useful strategies for building a strong rapport with members of the media which will, in turn, help you to get accurate information out to the public in an effective manner.
Attendance is limited to the first 40 people, so register today!

Who are We?
The Wisconsin Fire Service Administration Association (WSFAA) is an organization made up of administrative assistants, secretaries, and other related support staff from fire departments throughout the state. We meet on a quarterly basis at different locations. The June meeting is normally held in conjunction with the Annual State Fire Chief’s Convention. In September we hold a full day educational program.

2010 Meeting Dates
Membership
Regular membership (an active member of a fire department) is $45.00 per year (this includes lunch at the quarterly meetings).
Associate membership (fire service affiliate) is $10.00 per year.
