Wisconsin Fire Academy – Training Opportunity!

Please join us for training at the Wisconsin Fire Academy, Saturday October 9 through Sunday October 10.
Classes include:
- Hybrid Vehicle Extrication Awareness
Saturday, October 9 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- A four hour course designed to make first responders aware of some of the unique hazards and challenges associated with hybrid vehicles.
- Presenter: Madison Area Technical College
- Military Operations at an Emergency Scene
Saturday, October 9 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- A four hour discussion on the types of Military support that can be found in Wisconsin to assist you at an emergency scene and what their roles and responsibilities can be.
- Topics to be covered:
- Civil Support Teams (CST)
- Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high-yield Explosive (CBRNE)
- Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP)
- Air National Guard’s Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS)
- Homeland Response Force (HRF)
- Presenters:
- Lt Col Gene Essex, Officer in Charge of Exercise Development, Volk Filed EOC Director
- MSgt Joel McDearmon, Lead Exercise Designer, Volk Field EOC Manager
- Response to Aircraft Incident – An Introduction
Sunday, October 9 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- A four hour discussion on the unique hazards associated with aircraft incidents. Some of the specific hazards to be addressed will include those found on military aircraft.

Cost: $75.00 (Includes registration for all three classes, meals and Saturday overnight lodging)
Overnight lodging is also available on Friday night for $13.00. Saturday breakfast is not included.
