Choose Your Membership
WSFCA offers membership opportunities for chief officers, company officers, associate members, and qualifying retired members.
Active Chief Officers
For Fire Chiefs and other qualifying chief-level personnel of Wisconsin state- or federally-recognized fire departments.
Eligible positions include Assistant Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, Division Chiefs, Battalion Chiefs, and other management-level positions endorsed by the Fire Chief.
Active Company Officers
For Captains, Lieutenants, and other supervisory-level positions endorsed by the Fire Chief of a Wisconsin state- or federally-recognized fire department.
Membership Privileges: Includes all association privileges except the right to vote or hold office.
Associate Members
Basic Associate Membership is available to individuals interested in the goals and objectives of WSFCA who do not qualify for active membership.

Retired Members
Active Life Membership
Active Life Membership recognizes retired fire service leaders who have maintained an ongoing commitment to WSFCA. Members who have completed more than five (5) years of active WSFCA membership and have retired are eligible to apply for this classification.
Eligibility & Application Process
- Applicants must be retired and have more than five years of active membership in WSFCA.
- Applicants must submit a written request to the WSFCA Business Office that includes their years of fire service and years of association membership.
- The Business Office forwards requests to the WSFCA Board of Directors for review and approval.
- Approved Active Life Members receive all association privileges except the right to vote or hold office.
Active Life Membership requires a separate application and Board approval. Please use the application link below rather than the standard membership form.
